Creating a webhook from a Webhook Template (WHT) is the action of using a template in the Webhook Builder, benefiting from the configuration that has already been defined by BotXO or an Agency. This function helps to expediently service Companies, and simplify the action of adding a webhooks to a Bot.
When you are creating a webhook from a WHT, it is important to understand that its basic configuration may be unalterable, depending on how the WHT owner configured it. It is common that a combination of fixed and editable values makes the right mix for your specific use case.
Although Custom Variables might have/have already been added, you are still able to add additional Custom Variables in Extracted Data. It is important to note, that if you add an already-existing Custom Variable Name, there will be an error message for the newly added Custom Variable. The already-existing Custom Variable will not be editable or removable, so in this case, you would have to either rename or delete the newly-added one.
It's important to keep in mind, that depending on your user role (whether you are part of an Agency or a Company), your access to certain sections will be limited, as explained below:
In Basic Data, Agencies will have the option to select the Company that they wish to assign the webhook to. This option is not available for Companies, as they are not able to assign Webhooks to anyone but themselves.
Authentication is likewise a section where only Agencies are able to alter the Type.
Once you've filled in the missing fields, hit "Save Webhook" and the webhook will be ready for use in your Bot. If you are part of an Agency, remember to assign it to a Company.
